ITLG Launches East Coast Chapter :

After four years of successful operation in Silicon Valley the Irish Technology Leadership Group has opened an East Coast chapter of its organisation in New York. The ITLG is a network of Irish and Irish American executives and businesspeople that provides, amongst other things, mentorship, support and investment for many Irish startup companies.




Building Bridges Between Irish Universities And Silicon Valley :

With the stated aim of teaching, “business skills to university researchers and scientists,” the Science Foundation of Ireland (SFI) has partnered with the Dublin City University (DCU) Ryan Academy. In addition, entrepreneurship training for postdoctoral researchers at research centres will be provided in Universities across Ireland.  



For the past few years, Irish retailer Brown Thomas has collaborated with a designer to create a special edition tote bag. All proceeds go towards breast cancer research. Last year, Tory Burch designed a sassy leopard print tote that cleverly incorporates FTBC’s signature bullseye.

The success of the Irish Technology Leadership Group (ITLG) in creating links between Silicon Valley and Ireland was acknowledged when John Hartnett, founder of the ITLG, was awarded the 2011 Spirit of Ireland Award at the culmination of a week of events around the San José-Dublin sister city initiative.
